What Are Novak Djokovic’s Children With Wife Jelena Doing These Days? All To Know

Let's take a look at what Novak Djokovic’s children, Stefan and Tara, and wif, Jelena have been up to lately as he battles for a 25th Grand Slam

Novak Djokovic has rolled back the years at the 2026 Australian Open, as he overcame huge odds, winning against two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner in the semifinal in a thrilling five-set match, reaching his 11th final in Melbourne Park. While the Serb’s wife, Jelena Djokovic, has been seen in the stands during his matches, his son Stefan and daughter Tara have not been seen in Melbourne this time around.

What Are Novak Djokovic’s Children Doing Nowadays?

Djokovic’s two children, Stefan and Tara, have often been seen in the stands, cheering their father on during his matches. However, currently they are not in Melbourne as both of them are at school. The two of them have started their respective classes at the St. Lawrence School in Athens. This was after the Djokovic family made the much-publicised move from Serbia to Greece as their new residence.

As for his personal relationships with his children, Djokovic adores them and shares a special bond with them. However, he is competitive with his children as well, which came out in a light-hearted manner when he did an interview with Piers Morgan last year.

When asked if he would let Stefan win if father and son played a tennis match. The Serb was quick to respond, stating humorously that he would not let anybody win against him, even if it were his son.

“Oh, no. I don’t want, No, I wouldn’t want that. Of course, I wouldn’t let him beat me. I would kick his *beep*” said Djokovic

By his own admission, Djokovic’s son, Stefan, has started to show his interest in tennis, which is understandable given that he has been to his father’s matches. However, during the Morgan interview, the Serb made it clear that should his son make the switch to professional tennis, he would support him wholheartedly but as his role as a father, not as a coach.

“I want to be his father, I don’t wanna be his coach. If this is the journey that he chooses to have, I’m going to be 1,000,000% behind him, supporting him, every step of the way,” Djokovic said.

This stance from the Serb was fully supported by Patrick Moratoglou, the famous tennis coach, who stated that there were always emotional complexities involved when parents coached their children on the professional Tours.

As for his daughter, Tara, Djokovic once pioneered a separate on-court celebration for his daughter at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. After his victories, he played a violin in the air, which was in tribute to his daughter taking up violin lessons. Later, the father-daughter duo also came up with the “Pump it Up” celebration at the 2025 Wimbledon.
