Venus Williams and Andrea Preti Made Their Romance Public at Milan Fashion Week

Williams and Preti first made headlines as a couple when they shared a romantic kiss during Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, officially confirming their relationship after months of speculation. The Danish-born Italian actor and filmmaker has since become a consistent presence in Williams’ life, both online and off.

The couple was first spotted vacationing together in July 2024 on a scenic boat trip in Italy and later rang in the new year with a tropical getaway to the Bahamas in January 2025. Their affectionate public appearance at Milan Fashion Week drew widespread media attention.

Williams, who has been inactive on the tour for a full year, has fallen out of the WTA rankings for the first time in three decades after her points from the 2024 Miami Open expired. Williams’ last appearance on the WTA Tour came at the 2024 Miami Open, where she lost 3-6, 3-6 in the first round to Diana Shnaider.

Organizers at this year’s Indian Wells announced that she had accepted a wildcard, however, she later refuted that claim. Back in October 2024, Williams stated that she wasn’t ready to retire. Despite that, she has only made a few informal on-court appearances since and has yet to return to official competition.

Williams Broke Silence on Retirement Speculation

At the 2025 Miami Open, Williams trained with Ons Jabeur and shared a behind-the-scenes video on YouTube. She addressed retirement rumors, saying she doesn’t plan ahead and plays only when she feels like it.

“I really don’t have a plan for the first time in my life. As an athlete and a player, there’s a whole plan, I’m going to play this tournament and play these tournaments so I can be ready for that tournament. And now, it’s like, I love playing, I’m going to play every day, and if I feel ready to play, then I’ll play,” Williams said.
