Tommy Paul Opens Up About His and Fiancée Paige’s Excitement As He Shares Wedding Update at Australian Open

Tommy Paul reveals his wedding timeline with Paige Lorenze after reaching Australian Open 4R following Alejandro Davidovich Fokina’s retirement.

The third round of the Australian Open kicked off on Friday, and one of the early names who got through to the fourth round was Tommy Paul. The American moved on after Alejandro Davidovich Fokina retired from their match, and while Paul’s progress on court was important, it was also his comments about his upcoming wedding that caught everyone’s attention.

Tommy Paul Shares Wedding Update With Paige Lorenze

Paul was quite comfortable against Fokina. He started with a 5–0 lead in the opening set. Fokina managed to hold serve once, but Paul wrapped up the set after winning 10 straight service points.

The second set played out quite similarly. Paul broke early again, and it soon became clear that Fokina was struggling physically. After just 55 minutes, the Spaniard chose to retire. Up next, Paul is headed for a big matchup against world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz.

Meanwhile, after the match, Paul was asked about his wedding plans and also whether the interviewer might get an invite. Paul confirmed the timing and hinted that the celebration is coming soon.

“It’s after Wimbledon, and we’re really excited for it. I think you might get the invitation,” Paul said with a smile.

Paul’s relationship with lifestyle entrepreneur Paige Lorenze has been quite public since they began dating. The two first met at the 2022 US Open in New York, where Paul lost in the third round to Casper Ruud. Even though his run ended early, the event was the beginning of something special off the court for him.

They made their relationship Instagram official in October 2022, and Lorenze has become quite a regular presence in Paul’s player box since then. The couple announced their engagement in July 2025.

Paul Has Left the Wedding Planning to Lorenze

When it comes to wedding planning, Paul has admitted he is taking a backseat. During an interview last year in December, he said Lorenze is handling most of the details. “She’s so good at that kind of stuff. This is the first wedding that she’s planned, but I trust her with my life. She’s doing most of it, and likes bringing stuff and asking me questions about it,” he said.

“I would totally trust her regardless. She has the best taste for that kind of stuff. I think it’s going to be an absolutely amazing wedding, I’m so excited,” Paul added.

Lorenze has shared similar thoughts during an episode of the Extra Dirty podcast. She said the planning was going smoothly and described the wedding as a “big party.” She also stated that only a few people would be invited to the occasion.

“I’m not inviting anyone to my wedding that I wouldn’t want to have lunch with… We’re inviting everyone that we love, but we want it to be a big party. I love parties, not clubs, not bars. I mean that’s fun, but like… I love a dance,” Lorenze said.
