Tommy Paul’s Girlfriend Paige Lorenze Reveals Why She Didn’t Attend the 2025 French Open

Paul was seeded 12th at the 2025 French Open, and he triumphed over lucky loser Elmer Møller, Márton Fucsovics, 24th seed Karen Khachanov, and 25th seed Alexei Popyrin to secure his place in the quarterfinals. However, his run came to an end in the last eight when he faced the second seed and eventual champion, Carlos Alcaraz, losing with a scoreline of 0-6, 1-6, 4-6.

In a recent video on her YouTube channel, Lorenze spoke about her absence from the 2025 French Open. She revealed that she was unable to travel to Paris with the World No. 8 due to “work” commitments.

Lorenze mentioned that being busy with work is “amazing” and that Paul is incredibly supportive of her professional endeavors.

“I got a lot of questions about why I didn’t go to the French Open this year, and honestly, it’s just because of work. It is so busy, which is amazing, and Tommy [Paul] is so supportive of that, and he wouldn’t want it any other way,” Lorenze said.

Lorenze noted that she frequently attends tennis tournaments throughout the year, and missing one was acceptable.

“I go to so much tennis throughout the year that it is, you know, totally fine. Tommy did really, really well; he quarterfinaled. We’re both very independent people, and we’re both very career-driven. I think I felt this need to go to every single Grand Slam. Well, they’re the bigger tournaments, they’re the most fun tournaments obviously,” she continued.

The social media fashion influencer explained that Grand Slam events tend to increase her workload, as brands often seek her to promote their products, take photographs, and showcase their clothing during these high-profile tournaments.

“Also, I get a lot of work opportunities around every Slam. There are always brands paying for you to take pictures somewhere or wear their clothes. There’s just so much money and opportunity around the Slams for the wives and girlfriends and people that are tennis adjacent. But to be totally honest with you guys, a lot is changing this year, and I’m one prioritizing my brand over everything. My brand is in a place now where I can take less brand deals,” Lorenze added.

Following the conclusion of his campaign at the 2025 French Open, Paul was set to kick off his grass court season at the 2025 Queen’s Club Championships. However, he announced that he would not be participating in the ATP 500 grass court tournament in London this year due to an abdominal strain.
