Taylor Fritz's girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, revealed the reason for her reaction to the American's team member's comments at the Canadian Open.

The couple has been together for five years, having started dating in 2020. Riddle is a Los Angeles-based social media influencer focusing on fashion and tennis content. She has also been hosting a short video series titled “Wimbledon Threads” since 2023, which explores fashion at the London Grand Slam.

During Fritz’s fourth-round match at the 2025 Canadian Open, cameras captured Riddle’s animated conversation with Wolfgang Oswald, Fritz’s physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach. The video of Riddle reacting delightfully to whatever Oswald whispered to her quickly went viral on social media.

The social media influencer later shared the video on her Instagram story, revealing the truth behind her enthusiastic reaction. According to Riddle, Oswald always gives her the latest gossip, which explains her delighted response to his comments.

“wolf always has the tea for me 💅🏻,” Riddle captioned her Instagram story.

Meanwhile, Fritz has been making his waves on the court. The World No. 4 is seeded second at the ATP Masters 1000 hard-court tournament in Toronto, starting his campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye.

Fritz has built momentum throughout the tournament, defeating Roberto Carballés Baena 7-5, 7-6(1) in his opening round. He then advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating 27th seed Gabriel Diallo 6-4, 6-2, and 19th seed Jiří Lehečka 7-6(4), 6-7(5), 7-6(5) in the third and fourth rounds, respectively.

Who Will Taylor Fritz Face Next at the Canadian Open?

Following his victory over Lehečka in the fourth round of the 2025 Canadian Open, Fritz is set to face Andrey Rublev in the tournament’s quarterfinals.

Rublev, the sixth seed at the ATP Masters 1000 hard court event in Toronto, began his campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. He secured a straight-sets win against Hugo Gaston, winning 6-2, 6-3 in his opening match, before overcoming 28th seed Lorenzo Sonego 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in the third round.

The former World No. 5 advanced to the quarterfinals against Fritz after his fourth-round opponent, 20th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, retired from their match during the third set with the score at 6-7(3), 7-6(2), 3-0 retd.

Fritz and Rublev have a long history on the ATP Tour. They have met nine times, with the American holding a slight edge after winning five of those encounters. Their most recent clash came in the semifinals of the 2024 Madrid Open, where Rublev emerged victorious with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

The winner of Fritz and Rublev’s quarterfinal match at the 2025 Canadian Open will advance to face either fourth seed Ben Shelton or ninth seed Alex de Minaur in the semifinals.
