Morgan Riddle Reveals Why She Stayed in Paris Days After Taylor Fritz’s Early French Open Exit

As noted, Riddle often accompanies her boyfriend to his matches, including the recently concluded Italian Open and the ongoing French Open. However, Fritz had a disappointing clay season, with a quarterfinal finish in Geneva being his best, before a shocking first-round loss to Germany’s Daniel Altmaier in Paris.

Although the World No. 4’s Roland Garros run ended days ago, his girlfriend stayed in Paris, and she later explained the reason behind it in an Instagram Q&A.

“im workin!!!” (followed it up with a star, microphone, and a tennis ball emoji)

In her next Instagram story, she was seen striking several poses with Hollywood actress Kristin Davis, known for playing Charlotte York in ‘Sex and the City’. Riddle later interviewed the cast of the comedy-drama ‘And Just Like That’, which also features Davis.

Notably, Riddle previously hosted ‘Wimbledon Threads’, a behind-the-scenes lifestyle and fashion series of the Wimbledon Championships. The series mainly features the stylish and vibrant side of the tournament, including interviews with the fans about their outfit choices.

The Los Angeles native has made significant strides in her career, collaborating with several brands, including the popular retail chain Abercrombie.

Fritz Admitted Playing ‘Horrendous Tennis’ After French Open Heartbreak

Taylor Fritz will look to bounce back during the upcoming grass-court swing after a disappointing French Open campaign. The American dropped 12 of the final 16 games against Daniel Altmaier, ultimately falling 5-7, 6-3, 3-6, 1-6.

Reflecting on his performance in the post-match press conference, Fritz admitted that he struggled to convert break points under pressure, which proved costly in key moments.

“I think I’m playing generally fine. It’s just a lot of important points, I just am playing horrendous tennis on a lot of the important points. When I’m break point down, or I’ve got looks on his serve, like 0/30, 15/30, 30/30, break point — all the pressure, important points… I don’t know what’s going on. I’m finding ways to just play the worst point possible,” he said.

Notably, Monday’s loss marked Fritz’s first opening-round exit at Roland Garros since 2018 and only his second at a Grand Slam since the 2022 US Open.
