Taylor Fritz in Disbelief After Failing To Receive Influencer David Dobrik’s Serve in Fun Tennis Session

Fritz enjoyed a solid run in 2025 and will look to build on that momentum in the upcoming season. The American No. 1 closed the year with a 53–23 win–loss record, reaching the Wimbledon semifinals and claiming titles in Eastbourne and Stuttgart.

Fritz’s consistent performances also earned him a spot at the ATP Finals in Turin, where he endured a disappointing round robin exit. After opening with a win over Lorenzo Musetti, he suffered back-to-back defeats against top seed Carlos Alcaraz and Alex De Minaur.

Fritz recently featured in a fun Instagram video with renowned YouTuber Dobrik as the two hit the court together. The video starts with the two standing in front of the camera with Dobrik saying, “I am here with Taylor Fritz, Number. 1 player in the United States. I am gonna see how many serves I can return out of 10.”

Fritz later admitted that he believes the YouTuber might actually be able to return one of his serves on the court. For context, Fritz was serving at his full, regular pace against Dobrik during the segment.

As noted, Fritz unleashed his trademark powerful serves, and Dobrik struggled to return the first four. Interestingly, it was on the fifth serve that the YouTuber finally made contact and returned it successfully. After again missing two consecutive serves, Dobrik returned the eighth one and was seemingly delighted. He eventually missed the last two serves, with his final score being 2 for 10.

Fritz was equally impressed by Dobrik’s efforts and praised him in the video, before the YouTuber asked the World. 6 to return his serves. To the surprise of many, Dobrik executed his serve cleanly and even struck an ace against the professional tennis player. His delivery landed inside the service box before kicking wide, beyond Fritz’s reach. Clearly taken aback by the moment, the social media influencer reacted by saying, “That’s an ace on Taylor Fritz! I am not serving any more.”

While Fritz once again praised Dobrik’s effort in the clip, he later expressed his disbelief in the comments, writing, “Can’t believe I let u ace me.”

Fritz is set to kick off his 2026 season at the United Cup, the mixed-team event where he will represent the United States alongside Coco Gauff. The tournament is scheduled to run from January 2 to January 11, with matches split across two venues, namely, the RAC Arena in Perth and Sydney’s Olympic Park Tennis Centre.
