Serena Williams Opens Up on Spending Time With Adira, Joyfully Reveals One ‘Random’ Destination She Is Taking Her Daughters To

Serena Williams shares her thoughts on spending time with her daughters and reveals a random getaway she has planned for them.

American tennis legend Serena Williams recently opened up about spending time with her daughters, Olympia and Adira. Known for sharing treasured moments with her fans online, Williams revealed that she has an outing planned for the girls to a ‘random’ location soon.

Williams married renowned tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian in 2017. Since the arrival of their elder daughter Olympia in the same year, the 23-time Major champion has embraced motherhood wholeheartedly. This journey became even more special with the birth of their younger daughter, Adira, in 2023.

How Did Serena Williams Describe Her Experience of Playing Tennis While Holding her Daughter, Adira?

But it is worth noting that despite her wide-ranging commitments, Williams has never let motherhood take a back seat. While managing numerous endorsements and her own ventures, including the beauty brand Wyn, she continues to devote quality time to her daughters and frequently shares glimpses of those online.

While seven-year-old Olympia holds her own, little Adira constantly seeks her mother’s embrace, as Williams revealed in an interview with Today. She described how the toddler loves being in her arms and even shared the amusing experience of playing tennis while holding her.

“The little one’s name is Adira. She loves being in arms at all times. So I was like, ‘Let me see if I can hit it overhead.’ I was literally hitting overhead and holding her. And I actually hit some serves and I served it, I actually hit some pretty good serves,” she said.

The American legend later reacted to a clip of little Adira doing her makeup while she kept a straight face. She also mentioned that taking GLP-1 medication helps her stay energetic while juggling motherhood.

“That’s Adira, she loves doing my makeup. Look at my face, I am just like ahhh!! (laughs). We do so much stuff together, and also just being able to share and show them as a mom, I have so much energy being on the GLP-1s, and I was tired and exhausted, but it just helped my whole life in general,” she said.

Serena Williams Reveals the ‘Random’ Place She Is Taking Her Daughters To

Williams was later asked about her mission to introduce her daughters to the wonders of the world, especially after recently visiting Niagara Falls with them. The American replied that she’s truly excited about it and revealed that her next stop is Stonehenge, which she believed was quite random.

“So we did Niagara Falls, so next is actually Stonehenge. Isn’t that random? So stay tuned for pictures of Stonehenge. So I got this really big book and we take a little trinket from each place, and so we have organised pictures of us in the book, and then a little trinket, and then so…Stonehenge is next,” she said.

For the 43-year-old, bringing her daughters to new places is a big responsibility, with their boundless energy keeping her constantly on the move. Yet, it also brings the silver lining of exploring a variety of amazing venues together.

“With kids, you have to keep yourself busy all day long. It’s like Oh my gosh! What can they do? Where is the kids’ museum? Is there something fun that we can do? Because they are super young and you really want them to enjoy,” she said.

“The whole life I have travelled to literally everywhere on the globe, and I just stayed in my room the whole time. So now it is a great opportunity to experience some things with my kids and my girls. We can just have fun and memories,” she added.

Like Williams, her husband, Ohanian, prioritizes spending time with their daughters and often shares glimpses of these cherished moments with fans online.
