Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, is a staunch advocate for women’s sports who frequently promotes the cause through numerous initiatives. The Reddit co-founder recently made a major move by investing in the renowned English women’s football club Chelsea F.C. Women.
Following the announcement, Ohanian proudly unveiled adorable custom Chelsea Women’s jerseys designed for his daughters, Olympia and Adira.

Ohanian is a famous tech entrepreneur and investor who currently heads a venture capital firm, Seven Seven Six. A passionate sports enthusiast and a businessman, he has combined both interests through several investments, including co-ownership of the Los Angeles Golf Club in the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL).
Building on his dedication to women’s sports, the Reddit co-founder recently acquired a 10% stake in Chelsea FC Women for £20 million. Additionally, the investment places a £200 million valuation on the women’s team.
“I’ve bet big on women’s sports before—and I’m doing it again. I’m proud to announce that I’m joining @ChelseaFCW as an investor and board member. I’m honored for the chance to help this iconic club become America’s favorite @BarclaysWSL team and much, much more,” he announced on X.
A few hours after the announcement, Ohanian shared photos of the women’s team’s home (blue) and third (black) jerseys, personalized with his elder daughter Olympia’s name on the home kit and Adira’s on the third kit. He also thanked the team’s president, Aki Mandhar, for those stunning jerseys.

As earlier stated, the 42-year-old frequently champions women’s sports. In order to promote the cause, Ohanian made a major investment in the National Women’s Soccer League’s Angel City F.C. in 2022, and the club is currently valued at $250 million.

A few days ago, he shared a picture of a Milk Bar cake, adorned with sprinkles, marshmallows, and chocolates, made by Olympia herself. “Olympia better let me try some of her @milkbarstore cake she created,” he wrote on X.
Ohanian coincidentally met 23-time Major champion Serena Williams in 2015, and they exchanged vows nearly two years later in New Orleans at the Contemporary Arts Center. While their elder daughter, Olympia, was born almost two months before their marriage, their younger daughter, Adira, was born in 2023.
