Serena Williams’ husband and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, recently melted hearts on social media after posting an adorable snapshot from a special outing with his eldest daughter, Olympia.
The image captured a candid moment from their latest ‘Daddy daughter date.’
Inside Alexis Ohanian’s Family Life With Serena Williams
Ohanian has long been admired for his hands-on approach to parenting. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., in September 2017, just two months before tying the knot in November of that year. In August 2023, their family grew with the arrival of their second daughter, Adira River Ohanian.
Ohanian has often reflected on how becoming a father has changed his outlook and regularly offers glimpses into his parenting experiences on social media.
The 42-year-old recently posted a heartwarming photo from a special outing with his seven-year-old daughter, Olympia. The image showed her striking a pose inside a café, showing off her braided hairstyle. He captioned the moment: “Daddy daughter date.”

During a vacation, the tennis legend was seen striking a pose on a boat in a light green top and matching skirt that exposed her belly button. Olympia, seemingly not a fan of the look, promptly stepped in and pulled the skirt up to cover it, catching her mom off guard.
Ohanian Urging Parents To Restrict Social Media Use for Children
Ohanian has encouraged parents to keep their children off social media, warning against the unrealistic and performative content often seen on these platforms. In a recent post, he said banning kids from social media is one of the most effective steps parents can take.
“There is no one way to parent. But since you asked how I’m doing that, the answer is very simple. No social media. I’m not surprised by seeing a lot of governments now moving to ban social media use for pre-teens and teens,” Ohanian said.
He argued that a collective decision to stay offline would reduce peer pressure and help children build healthier self-esteem.
“If everyone agrees to not be on social media, you don’t create that peer pressure, you don’t have that specter of FOMO (fear of missing out). And I think our kids, especially our daughters, end up having much healthier relationships. I do think it’s really important that we arm our kids with an understanding of just how fake and performative most of social media is,” he continued.
He criticized social media for amplifying negative aspects of youth culture, turning it into a race for likes and followers, which he views as damaging to children’s well-being.
