As Roger Federer makes his presence felt at the 2026 US Open, his four children are also making the most of their time at Flushing Meadows, making new memories at the venue where the Swiss legend won five of his 20 Grand Slam titles.
How Roger Federer’s Children Are Spending Time at the 2026 US Open
Federer’s twin daughters, Myla Rose and Charlene, and twin sons, Leo and Lenny, recently joined their mother, Mirka, and their grandparents in the stands to show their support as the former world No. 1 treated fans to his “Roger Federer: An Icon Returns to New York” exhibition before the singles action got underway.
After traveling to Newport, Rhode Island, for Federer’s induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, the family returned to New York and made another appearance at the US Open grounds.
Myla Rose and Charlene were spotted spending time with Lleyton Hewitt’s son, Cruz Hewitt, at the New York Major. Interestingly, Federer shared a fierce on-court rivalry with Lleyton during their playing days, holding an 18-9 lead in their head-to-head record. However, their families enjoyed a close dynamic off the court.

Myla Rose and Charlene’s friendship with Hewitt was also on display at Wimbledon earlier this season, when they warmly congratulated him after he booked his place in the boys’ final. Hewitt expressed his gratitude for their support at the grass-court Major, shedding light on the closeness between the two families.
“They’ve been supporting me. The whole family, they’ve been really good so I’m really grateful for them to be out at the matches and coming to support. I’ve obviously known them since our dads played. I know them pretty well, but I appreciate them coming,” he said.
Meanwhile, Federer’s sons, Leo and Lenny, joined him in the stands at Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch Ben Shelton’s opening match, alongside former players Ivan Ljubičić and Tim Henman.
The American treated the star-studded crowd to a thrilling encounter, battling back from a set down to claim a 1-6, 6-1, 7-6(3), 6-2 victory over Tallon Griekspoor.

Subsequently, before Naomi Osaka arrived at Arthur Ashe Stadium for her opening match, Roger Federer took the court to receive his International Tennis Hall of Fame ring.
