Rafael Nadal is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of professional tennis. Since turning pro in 2001, the Spaniard forged an extraordinary career, amassing 22 Grand Slam titles, 14 alone on clay, earning him the moniker of ‘King of Clay.’
Over his career, Nadal claimed 92 tour titles, including a remarkable 36 Masters 1000 crowns, before retiring following the 2024 Davis Cup. In addition, the former World No. 1 secured two Olympic gold medals: in singles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and in doubles at the 2016 Rio Games.
Ana Ivanovic, meanwhile, also enjoyed a remarkable career before retiring in 2016. Her achievements include winning the 2008 French Open, reaching World No. 1 that same year, and claiming 15 WTA singles titles. She was also runner-up at the 2007 French Open and 2008 Australian Open. In addition, the Serbian star secured the WTA year-end championships in 2010 and 2011, solidifying her status as one of the sport’s dominant forces during her era.
Ana Ivanovic’s visit to the Rafael Nadal Academy recently grabbed attention after Nadal shared glimpses of their time together on Instagram. On Sunday, January 11, the Serb toured the academy that is currently keeping Nadal busy in his post-retirement life.
The two legends certainly enjoyed their time together, sharing smiles while posing at one of tennis’ most prestigious academies. “Thanks @anaivanovic for visiting us at the @rafanadalacademy! ☺️ We hope to see you again soon!” Nadal captioned.

Maribel has been a constant presence on social media, frequently reacting to posts related to her brother. However, their bond extends well beyond the digital space, as the Spanish legend’s younger sister also plays a key professional role, serving as the Deputy General Director and operational backbone of the Rafael Nadal Academy’s programmes.
