Paula Badosa recently spent quality time with her mother, Mireia Gibert, and her sister, Jana Badosa, during a family beach vacation in Bali. The Badosa clan took this holiday after the former world No. 2 concluded her tennis season early due to chronic back pain, which she has been managing since 2023.
Throughout this year, the Spaniard had to withdraw from several tournaments because of her injury, including the BNP Paribas Open, the Madrid Open, the Italian Open, and several events during the North American hard-court swing, such as the US Open.
The Spaniard also had to retire from other competitions like the Mérida Open, Miami Open, Berlin Tennis Open, and China Open due to her ongoing injury struggles.
How Did Paula Badosa Enjoy Bali Vacation With Mother Mireia and Sister Jana?
Badosa’s last competition was during the Asian swing of the Tour, where she participated in the 2025 China Open. Seeded 18th at the WTA 1000 hard court tournament in Beijing, she started her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye.
In her opening match, Badosa defeated Antonia Ružić with a score of 6-3, 7-6(2). She faced 13th seed Karolína Muchová in the third round but had to retire from the match during the first set due to a left hip injury. Following her retirement, Badosa announced the end of her 2025 tennis season.
Since making this announcement, Badosa has taken to social media and shared pictures of how she is spending her time away from tennis, including enjoying beaches and swimming pools.
Recently, the former World No. 2, her mother Mireia, and her sister Jana shared several photos and videos from their family vacation in Bali.

Jana even posted a video of herself dancing with Paula.
“with the best @paulabadosa,” Jana captioned her Instagram post (translated from Spanish).
