Players like Paula Badosa, Emma Navarro, Elena Rybakina, and Elina Svitolina stunned in dazzling outfits at the players’ party ahead of the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup finals. The tournament is scheduled to take place at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in China from Sept. 16 to Sept. 21, 2025.

The finals will feature eight teams competing in a knockout format. Each tie will follow a best-of-three rubber format played in one day, consisting of two singles matches and, if necessary, a doubles rubber.

Paula Badosa, Elena Rybakina & Others Attend Player Party Ahead of Billie Jean King Cup Finals

The eight teams competing in the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup finals include the host nation, China; the defending champions, Italy; the United States; Spain; Kazakhstan; Japan; Great Britain; and Ukraine.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament, defending champions and top seed Italy will face hosts China. Second seed Great Britain will take on Japan, third seed Team USA will compete against Kazakhstan, and fourth seed Spain will battle Ukraine.

Before the start of the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup finals, players from all eight countries attended the players’ party in Shenzhen. Billie Jean King and her wife, Ilana Kloss, were also present.

The official social media page for the Billie Jean King Cup shared a short video montage from the party, featuring players like Badosa, Navarro, Rybakina, Svitolina, Jasmine Paolini, Taylor Townsend, and others enjoying the festivities in their stylish outfits.

Team USA’s Townsend also posted a selfie from the party with Navarro, Hailey Baptiste, and McCartney Kessler, mentioning that they were “missing” Jessica Pegula, who presumably did not attend.

“First team pic 💕 missing @jpegula,” Townsend captioned her Instagram story.

In 2024, Italy defeated Slovakia 2-0 in the final to claim its fifth Billie Jean King Cup title.

Where Will Paula Badosa Compete Next?

Following the conclusion of her campaign at the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup finals, Badosa will begin her run in the Asian swing of the Tour. She is expected to compete next at the 2025 China Open, scheduled at the National Tennis Center in Beijing from Sept. 24 to Oct. 6, 2025.

Alongside Badosa, players such as defending champion Coco Gauff, Aryna Sabalenka, Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek, Naomi Osaka, Katie Boulter, Mirra Andreeva, Bianca Andreescu, Amanda Anisimova, Belinda Bencic, and Leylah Fernandez are also expected to participate in the WTA 1000 hard-court event in Beijing.

In the 2024 China Open, Badosa was seeded 15th and began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She defeated Viktoriya Tomova in her opening match, winning with a scoreline of 6-3, 6-2. Badosa triumphed over qualifier Rebecca Šramková 7-5, 7-5, and second seed Jessica Pegula 6-4, 6-0 in the third and fourth rounds, respectively.

In the quarterfinals, the former World No. 2 defeated wild card Zhang Shuai with a scoreline of 6-1, 7-6(4). Her run at the WTA 1000 hard-court tournament ended in the semifinals when she lost to fourth seed and eventual champion Coco Gauff 6-4, 4-6, 2-6.
