Novak Djokovic Plans To Dominate 2026

Novak Djokovic was last seen in action at the 2025 Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship, where he secured his 101st ATP singles title, a list that also includes a record 24 major titles. In the final round, he had surpassed the 23-year-old Italian star, Lorenzo Musetti, to clinch his second singles title of the season.

His first title of the 2025 season was the Geneva Open, which he won after defeating Hubert Hurkacz in the final round. Despite being 38 years old, Djokovic defied all odds, made history, and reached the semifinals of all the Grand Slam tournaments. At the 2025 Australian Open semifinal round, he faced the German star, Alexander Zverev, but unfortunately, due to suffering an unspecified muscle tear, he had to retire after playing one set.

The Belgrade, Serbia, native’s dream of clinching his 25th major title at other major tournaments was halted by the current elite in men’s singles, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. The Italian defeated him in the semifinals of the French Open and Wimbledon Championships. Whereas Alcaraz surpassed him in the semifinals of the US Open, thus ending his dream of adding another major to his record list.

However, during his recent appearance at the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix, where he led an exercise session, distributed awards to the sprint winner, and posed with elite heavy band Metallica, Djokovic also unveiled his plans on how he is aiming to start his 2026 season with rejuvenated health via the help of technology so that his physical body can compete with the best.

In an interview with Sky Sports at the Qatar Formula One event, he showcased the Regenesis recovery pod, sharing, “I’m taking a short break and trying to reconstruct my machine, so to say, in racing terminology. I’ve been getting injured more often than not in the last 18 months, so I’m trying to rebuild my body so the start of the next season will be great and, hopefully, I can keep it up with the best guys.”

Regarding the features of the pod whose official partner is Qatar Airways, he continued, “It is a multi-sensory wellness capsule pod that resets your batteries in the shortest amount of time, which is eight minutes.”

In addition to the above feats, Djokovic also delivered notable performances at the Miami Open, reaching the final round, and at the Shanghai Masters, he advanced to the semifinal round, ultimately falling to eventual champion Valentin Vacherot.
