Aryna Sabalenka’s Boyfriend Georgios Frangulis: ‘Novak Djokovic Is the GOAT’

Earlier this year, while speaking to the media, Sabalenka’s boyfriend, Frangulis, praised Djokovic, calling him his “idol” for as long as he could remember. The Brazilian entrepreneur referred to the 24-time Grand Slam champion as the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) in terms of “mindset and sharpness” as an athlete.

“Novak has been an idol of mine forever, long before we became friends. I always admired him for his achievements. I’d say Novak is the GOAT standard in terms of mindset and sharpness as an athlete. I love being around Novak and learning from him. He’s a great listener, very curious about business, politics, everything. That’s why any conversation with him is always engaging and fun,” Frangulis said.

Frangulis shared that he and Djokovic often talk and mentioned that he feels “lucky” to have the opportunity to learn from both the Serb and Sabalenka.

“We talk about everything – from food to football, tennis… we can go on for hours. We’ve spoken a lot about Oakberry; he loves it because he’s very focused on wellness and taking care of his body. As an athlete, your body is your biggest asset. I feel lucky to have the chance to learn from him – and from Aryna as well,” he added.

On the tennis side of things, looking ahead, Sabalenka is set to begin her 2026 season at the Brisbane International, scheduled for January 4 to January 11, 2026, on outdoor hard courts at the Queensland Tennis Centre in Brisbane, Australia.

The World No. 1 will enter the WTA 500 hard-court tournament as the defending champion, having won the title this year by defeating qualifier Polina Kudermetova in the final.
