Lacoste is honouring Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic before he launches a bid for a historic 25th Grand Slam singles title at the US Open. The French apparel maker has launched a limited-edition apparel line featuring a GOAT logo, replacing the iconic crocodile.

Lacoste recently released a video showcasing its limited-edition products. The video featured three fans of the Serb posing wearing the new ‘GOAT’ outfits.

Djokovic joined Lacoste in 2017, signing a deal after his 2012 partnership with Japanese brand Uniqlo ended. The agreement marked a significant moment for the brand, with Djokovic becoming its new “crocodile” ambassador, a role the Serb continues to hold.

At the upcoming US Open, Djokovic will open another bid to become the first tennis player in history to win 25 singles Grand Slam trophies.
The Serbian star has been placed in the same half as former champion Carlos Alcaraz, with a meeting against last year’s runner-up Taylor Fritz likely in the quarterfinals.
The four-time US Open winner will begin his campaign against Learner Tien. The Serb could run into either No. 11 seed Holger Rune or No. 17 seed Frances Tiafoe in the round of 16.
At last year’s US Open, Djokovic suffered his earliest Grand Slam exit since 2017 when he lost to Australia’s Alexei Popyrin in the third round.
The Serb last competed at the US Open’s revamped mixed doubles event. Djokovic and Olga Danilovic’s team crashed out in the first round against Russians Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva.
How Has Novak Djokovic Fared in 2025?
The Serbian legend’s 2025 season has been defined by his search for an elusive 25th major trophy. Despite coming agonizingly close in all three Grand Slams of the year, where he reached at least the semifinals, he was stopped by the newer generation players, once by Alexander Zverev and twice by Jannik Sinner.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion opened the year in Brisbane, falling in the quarterfinals to Reilly Opelka, before reaching the Australian Open semifinals, where a muscle tear forced him to retire against Zverev after just one set.
Djokovic suffered rare early exits in Doha and Indian Wells, including back-to-back losses to lucky losers. At the Miami Open, he rebounded to reach the final before falling to Jakub Menšik.
Days later, Djokovic stormed to his 100th ATP singles title in Geneva, beating Hubert Hurkacz in the final. He became only the third man in the Open Era, after Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer, to reach the century mark.
At Roland Garros, Djokovic reached a record 51st major semifinal before losing to world No. 1 Sinner. Sinner stopped him again at Wimbledon in the last four.
Following the straight-sets loss, the Serb admitted that “age, the wear and tear of the body” were limiting his ability to match the new generation.
