Earlier this year, rumors of their breakup began to circulate, but the former World No. 13 was quick to dismiss them.
Recently, Kyrgios conducted a question-and-answer session with fans on social media. There, one follower inquired about his well-being. In response, the Aussie mentioned that he was doing alright but revealed he was dealing with injuries and some family issues. He mentioned that despite these problems, he has been pushing forward, striving to improve each day, and enjoying life as it comes.
“I’m always ok. But definitely going through some real stuff at the moment. Injuries, family. But trying to push forward and be better every day and enjoy the ride,” Kyrgios captioned his Instagram story.
When another fan asked about his breakup with Hatzi, Kyrgios stated that some things had happened between them, which led to their separation. However, he expressed his sincere wishes for her happiness. He also reflected on the many incredible moments they shared, which he said he will cherish forever.
“Things happen. I wish her nothing but the best. So many incredible moments that will stay with me,” he added.

On the tennis side of things, Kyrgios faced significant challenges following a minor tear in the lateral meniscus of his left knee, which necessitated arthroscopic surgery at the beginning of 2023. As a result, he missed numerous tournaments that year. He made his return to the court in Stuttgart, but unfortunately, a wrist injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
Kyrgios made a comeback in 2025 at the Brisbane International, where he competed in both singles and doubles events. In singles, he faced Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first round and was eliminated. In the doubles competition, he partnered with Novak Djokovic, and together, they advanced to the second round before being defeated by the top-seeded duo of Nikola Mektić and Michael Venus.
At his home Grand Slam, the Australian Open, the former World No. 13 lost to Jacob Fearnley in the first round.
During the North American hard court swing, Kyrgios participated in the 2025 Indian Wells Masters, where he faced Botic van de Zandschulp in the first round. However, he had to retire from the match during the second set due to a right wrist injury, with the Dutchman leading 7-6(7), 3-0.
At the Miami Open, Kyrgios managed to secure a victory against Mackenzie McDonald in the first round but fell to Karen Khachanov in the second round. Since concluding his campaign in Florida, the former World No. 13 has not participated in any further tournaments.
