While she was seeking her first grass court win in Bad Homburg with a showdown against Olga Danilovic, Mouratoglou showcased his gesture of support. The renowned mentor was spotted in the stands while she competed against the Serbian.

This becomes surprising as he was recently seen attending an event in France. The 55-year-old shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram amid his auspicious presence at The Mouratoglou Annual Gala. He was seen posing alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas, Richard Gasquet, among others.

The event took place just hours before Osaka’s opening match in Bad Homburg, but the seasoned coach didn’t miss the chance to back the Japanese amid a difficult phase in her career.
Mouratoglou Backs Osaka After the French Open Heartbreak
Osaka’s statement at the Roland Garros press conference made it clear that emotions took a heavy toll on her. After the WTA star faced a disappointing opening round exit against Paula Badosa, she expressed regret over letting people down, especially her coach.
To this, Mouratoglou stepped forward with a consoling statement, applauding the consistent efforts from her to restore her lost form. He was also disappointed over not being able to help her with notable results so far.
“You can be proud of yourself @naomiosaka. The efforts you make, the work, and the heart you put in it are amazing. Considering all that, I haven’t been able to help bringing you where you deserve to be. But I have no doubt, this will pay off soon.”
