Before entering the Italian Open, Osaka participated in the L’Open 35 de Saint-Malo, receiving a Wild Card entry into the main draw. She was the second seed and defeated Petra Marčinko, Diane Parry, Elsa Jacquemot, and Léolia Jeanjean. Ultimately, she triumphed over Kaja Juvan in the final to secure the title.
