Morgan Riddle did not plan on dealing with a hotel mess during the Canadian Open. Yet in Toronto, while Taylor Fritz was competing, she found herself filming a morning where the ceiling literally gave out and water started leaking into her room.

Riddle documented a full day in Toronto on Instagram, where she has over 460,000 followers, and the clip quickly turned from routine to chaotic. The video, captioned “tennis tour morning in my life,” shows her navigating the day while juggling a few problems that popped up along the way.
In the reel, she filmed the roof of her accommodation leaking after a section of the ceiling caved in. With no immediate fix available, she wiped up the water with tissue paper and towels to keep the area under control. This situation turned a normal morning into a scramble to protect her space and belongings.
Amid the cleanup, Riddle also shared a bit of downtime, noting she is currently obsessed with “And Just Like That…,” the revival and sequel to the HBO hit “Sex and the City.” The series is slated to end on August 14, 2025, closing out the record-breaking “Sex and the City” franchise.

In the same reel, Riddle filmed several daily routines to round out the day. She went for a walk in the woods, got in a gym session, and kept the rest of her schedule moving despite the early curveball.
How Morgan Riddle Met Taylor Fritz
Fritz and Morgan Riddle have been together since 2020 after meeting on the dating app Raya. Riddle has said she was scrolling during the COVID-19 pandemic when she connected with Fritz, and at first, she did not realize he was a successful tennis player.
“In one of his pictures he was holding a koala and I just thought it was a really cute photo,” Riddle told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year. “I mean, when you’re swiping on dating apps it’s not that deep.”
“There was an instant connection,” Riddle has stressed.
How Taylor Fritz Has Fared in the 2025 Tennis Season
Fritz began 2025 ranked No. 4, helping the U.S. win the United Cup with four wins in five matches. He reached the Australian Open third round, then took early exits in Delray Beach and Dallas.
At Indian Wells, he made the fourth round, and in Miami, he reached his first semifinal, losing to eventual champion Jakub Menšík. The spring brought a rough stretch on European clay, where he went out in the first round of the French Open.
Grass season flipped the script. Fritz won ATP 250 titles in Stuttgart and Eastbourne, then made a deep run at Wimbledon. He beat Karen Khachanov to become the first American man in a semifinal since 2018, before falling to two-time champion Carlos Alcaraz, 6–4, 5–7, 6–3, 7–6 (8–6).
He followed that up at the Canadian Open in Toronto, advancing to the semifinals before bowing out to compatriot Ben Shelton in straight sets. From there, the schedule moved to Ohio.
Fritz is currently at the Cincinnati Open as the No. 4 seed. He defeated Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego to reach the Round of 32, where he will face Frenchman Terence Atmane.
