Andreeva vs. Mboko Head-to-Head

These two young stars have yet to go up against each other on the Tour, and therefore, the head-to-head is 0-0.

Andreeva began her season in Brisbane, winning her first couple of matches against Olivia Gadecki and Linda Noskova, but losing to Marta Kostyuk in the quarterfinals.

In Adelaide, she began with a bye in the first round, following which she won 6-3, 6-1 against Marie Bouzkova in the second round, and then notched another impressive 6-2, 6-0 victory against home favorite Maya Joint in the quarterfinals.

In the semifinal, she faced off against ninth-seeded Diana Shnaider, winning 6-3, 6-2 against her doubles partner.

Mboko was in action at the United Cup, winning one of the two matches she played there. At Adelaide, she began with wins over the likes of Beatriz Haddad Maia and Anna Kalinskaya in the first couple of matches.

Coming into the quarterfinals, the Canadian pulled off an upset, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 against defending champion Madison Keys, following which she won with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 scoreline over local favorite, Kimberly Birrell, in the semifinal.

Andreeva vs. Mboko Prediction

Despite just starting their careers, both Mboko and Andreeva have shown their wares on hard courts, winning WTA 1000 titles last year. While Andreeva won the titles in Dubai and Indian Wells, Mboko won the WTA 1000 title in Montreal.

Both players are coming off comprehensive semi-winners, but given that she is the higher-seeded player, Andreeva will have a slight advantage in the upcoming match.

Pick: Andreeva to win in three sets
