Martina Navratilova became a mother last year when she and her wife, Julia Lemigova, welcomed two sons together through adoption. In August 2024, the couple adopted their boys, and recently, Lemigova shared how they spent time in the snow, creating lasting memories.
Navratilova and Lemigova have been together for 17 years, having started dating in 2008. The former World No. 1 proposed to Lemogiva at the 2014 US Open, and they married later that year. In addition to their two newly adopted sons, Lemigova is also a mother to two daughters, Victoria and Emma.

Lemigova, who is very active on social media, often uses it to share updates about herself, her career, her family, and more. Recently, she posted a picture of one of her sons, who will soon celebrate his third birthday, standing in front of a window with a snowy landscape visible outside, where trees and the ground are covered in thick layers of snow.
“Who is turning 3 tomorrow 😍?” Lemigova captioned her Instagram story. The 53-year-old also shared a video of her two sons playing in the snow while she watched them with delight. “😍 ❄️ 😍,” she added in the following story.

Lemigova is a former model, beauty pageant titleholder, and reality TV star. She was crowned Miss USSR in 1990 and is known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Miami.”
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Lemigova has been studying opera full-time at Florida International University’s School of Music. She has performed in the Florida Grand Opera’s production of “Carmen” and sang the opera piece “Caro mio ben” at an exclusive event she and Navratilova hosted for two non-profit organizations.
Navratilova on Her and Lemigova Adopting Their Sons: ‘We Are Over the Moon’
After welcoming her two sons via adoption, Navratilova told PEOPLE that she and Lemigova are “over the moon” about their new family members.
“We are over the moon recognizing the challenges and the rewards for everybody,” Navratilova said in a statement with PEOPLE.
Lemigova admitted that she and Navratilova have been “sleep-deprived” since bringing the boys home, but they were very “happy” with their new routine. She mentioned that the former World No. 1 has been “energized” by their presence, making pancakes, taking them to school, and doing other things.
“I’m sleep-deprived but so happy. It’s been a very intense, loving, incredible. She’s making pancakes in the morning, taking them to school. She’s so energized. When we first got them, we thought we are saving them, but in reality, we’re both saving each other,” Lemigova said.
On the tennis side of things, Navratilova, who turned professional in 1974, retired from the sport in 2006. She finished her career with 59 Grand Slam titles to her name, including 18 singles titles, 31 women’s doubles titles, and 10 mixed doubles titles. Throughout her career, she held the World No. 1 ranking in both singles and doubles, among many other accomplishments.
