The post featured both women alongside their two adopted sons in what appeared to be a winter holiday celebration. Their bond deepened over shared breakfasts during the tournament, leading Navratilova to move in with Lemigova soon after.
In September 2014, Navratilova proposed during the US Open, with the moment displayed on the Arthur Ashe Stadium screen. The couple married on Dec. 15, 2014, at the Peninsula Hotel in New York, where Brooke Shields served as maid of honor.
