Madison Keys Calls Out Jessica Pegula for Being ‘Jealous’ After the American’s Playful ‘Side Eye’ Admission at Wta Finals

Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula engaged in a bit of banter on social media ahead of the WTA Finals.

Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula have both arrived in Riyadh for the 2025 WTA Finals. The two American players took to Instagram to share what they’ve been up to since landing in Saudi Arabia. Both posted practice session photos from the court, but what really got people talking was the playful back-and-forth they had on their Stories.

Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula’s Social Media Interaction

Both Pegula and Keys touched down in Riyadh recently and jumped straight into action on the practice courts at King Saud University Indoor Arena. They both posted clips showing their training sessions, giving fans an inside look at their preparation. But the main buzz came from their recent Instagram Stories.

Pegula posted an image of herself, standing near the net with a side-eyed look on her face. She captioned it, “Me giving @madisonkeys side eye for hitting another forehand squash shot?

The USA-Dominated Singles Field at WTA Finals 2025

All eight of the top women’s tennis players in the world have now made it to Riyadh for the WTA Finals. The WTA posted on Instagram to give fans a good look at the players and the venue where everything’s happening. The matches start November 1 and wrap up November 8 at King Saud University Indoor Arena.

What stands out this year is how many players come from the United States. Four American women made the cut: Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Keys, and Pegula. This dominance shows just how much depth the US has in women’s tennis right now.

The tournament is split into two groups with four players each. Round-robin matches kick off on November 1. First up that day are Iga Świątek against Keys in the Serena Williams Group, and Anisimova taking on Elena Rybakina. On November 2, the Stefanie Graf Group gets going with two matches: Aryna Sabalenka plays Jasmine Paolini, and Gauff faces Pegula.

This year’s field is loaded with Grand Slam winners. Keys won the Australian Open back in January while Gauff took home the French Open trophy earlier this year. Świątek claimed Wimbledon in the summer, and World No. 1 Sabalenka captured the US Open title in September.

Each player in their group plays the other three in the round-robin stage. After everyone plays each other once, the top two from each group move on to the semifinals on November 7 and the championship match takes place on November 8.
