For Tabilo, this win was a major boost, given the fact that he had only five wins out of 18 main-draw matches on the ATP Tour entering the tournament. The Chilean had to go through the qualifying rounds in Chengdu and every player he beat in the main draw was ranked higher than him. Tabilo clinched his third ATP singles title and will return to the Top 100 of the ATP rankings.
Musetti is currently seventh in the race for the ATP Finals in Turin and has a fair chance of making it to the season-ending tournament. The 23-year-old has 33 wins out of 47 matches so far in the 2025 season.
