Terry is a businessman and a petroleum engineer. He is the owner of the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL), which he co-owns with his wife, Kim Pegula. According to Forbes, his net worth is estimated at $9.3 billion.

Jessica Pegula Reacts to Being Likened to Billionaire Father Terry Pegula

Earlier this year, Pegula, along with Keys, Brady, and Krawczyk, launched “The Player’s Box Podcast.” In a recent episode, the former World No. 3’s co-hosts highlighted the similarities between Pegula and her father, noting that both wear wired earphones. They even took to social media and shared a side-by-side image of the father-daughter duo sporting the same style of earphones.

“Like father, like daughter,” The Player’s Box Podcast posted on Instagram.

Keys and Brady also made playful remarks about the resemblance between Pegula and her father.

Reacting to the image of them together, Pegula humorously explained that she and Terry wear wired earphones because they are “humble.”

In 2025, Pegula concluded her season with three titles: the ATX Open, Charleston Open, and Bad Homburg Open. She was the runner-up at the Adelaide International, Miami Open, and Wuhan Open, and also reached the semifinals at the US Open, China Open, and WTA Finals.

Pegula To Begin 2026 Season at Adelaide International

Pegula is set to begin her 2026 season by competing at the Adelaide International, which is scheduled to take place from January 12 to January 17, 2026. The matches of the WTA 500 hard-court tournament will be held at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre in Adelaide, South Australia.

In addition to the former World No. 3, players such as defending champion Keys, Clara Tauson, Paula Badosa, and Belinda Bencic, among others, will compete at the Adelaide International next year.

“I’m excited to return to Adelaide after the final last summer. As one of the first major tournaments of the year, it helps build momentum for the new tennis season. The timing couldn’t be better and the quality of the field always makes it an important week on the calendar,” Pegula said.

This year, Pegula was the top seed at the Adelaide International, and she began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. She defeated lucky loser Maria Sakkari with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-1 in her opening match.

The former World No. 3 then advanced to the semifinals after her quarterfinal opponent, compatriot Ashlyn Krueger, retired from their match during the second set with the score at 6-4, 2-0 retd.

In the semifinals, Pegula defeated Yulia Putintseva with a score of 7-6(4), 6-3, advancing to the final. There, Pegula finished as the runner-up to Keys after losing with a scoreline of 3-6, 6-4, 1-6.
