Aryna Sabalenka recently won the 2026 Miami Open, becoming the fifth woman to achieve the Sunshine Double in singles after previously winning the title at the 2026 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. The world No. 1, completing the Sunshine Double, drew a reaction from Novak Djokovic’s wife, Jelena.

Earlier this month, Sabalenka got engaged to Brazilian entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis. After her engagement, the Belarusian competed at Indian Wells, where she defeated players such as Himeno Sakatsume, Jaqueline Cristian, Naomi Osaka, Victoria Mboko, and Linda Nosková to reach the final. There, she defeated Elena Rybakina to win the tournament, claiming her 10th WTA 1000 singles title.
At the 2026 Miami Open, Sabalenka defeated Ann Li, Caty McNally, Zheng Qinwen, Hailey Baptiste, and Rybakina again to reach the final. In the championship match, she defeated Coco Gauff, defending her title and securing her 11th WTA 1000 title while completing the Sunshine Double. Sabalenka also completed the Sunshine Double in the doubles event in 2019 alongside Elise Mertens.
After her victory at the Miami Open, Sabalenka took to social media and shared a series of photos, including shots of herself with the trophy, her fiancé Frangulis, her goddaughter Nicole, her team, and more.
“305 champ again 🥹🏆 The feeling of holding this trophy will never get old. This tournament will always be home to me 🫶🏼 Thank you to my team and all of the fans supporting me along the way. I love you Miami!!! 🏆☀️,” Sabalenka captioned her Instagram post.

Reacting to Sabalenka’s wins at both the Miami Open and Indian Wells, Djokovic’s wife, Jelena, commented that since the Belarusian’s engagement to Frangulis, it has been nothing but title victories for her, calling her a “tigress.”
“Since she got the ring on – only W for the tigress! 🐅💋❤️💋❤️😜😘@georgiosfrangulis @isabelagrutman 🍀🍀,” Jelena commented.
“Well done team!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌 🏆🐯🏆🐯,” she added.
Looking ahead, Sabalenka is expected to compete in the 2026 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, scheduled for April 11–19, 2026. The matches will take place on indoor clay courts at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany.
Sabalenka’s best results at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix have been runner-up finishes, achieved in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025. In 2021, she lost to Ashleigh Barty in the final; in 2022 and 2023, she fell to Iga Świątek; and last year, she lost the title to Jeļena Ostapenko.
