Italian ATP star Jannik Sinner recently marked his presence in Germany for the upcoming ATP 500 event. After facing a disappointing defeat against Carlos Alcaraz at the 2025 French Open, the three-time Grand Slam champion is preparing to enter the grass court season.
The Italian player will compete at the Halle Open amid his 54th week as the World No.1.
Jannik Sinner Lands in Germany to Initiate His Grass Court Season
Tennis TV’s official Instagram account recently shared a video featuring Sinner’s entry in Halle, Germany. In the short clip, the 23-year-old was seen stepping out of his car to meet and greet the organizers waiting for him next to the accommodation.
Dressed in a sky blue sweatshirt paired with similar pants, the Italian player created highlights with his black sunglasses.

Another video on X showcased the ATP star practicing on the grass courts of Halle.

Set to kick off on June 18, the ATP 500 event will feature top-ranked players including Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Ugo Humbert, and others. A total of 23 players will be competing with each other to challenge the defending champion Sinner. The Italian player won the Halle Open in 2024, marking it his first title after claiming the World No.1 throne in June 2024.
Sinner also received a cake in Halle to celebrate the commendable achievement of completing more than a year as the world No.1. In the shape of the numeric digit 1, the cake had an adorable message engraved.
“Willkommen Jannik! 370 Tage No.1,” the message said.
Despite serving a 3-month-long ban after winning his third major title in Melbourne, the 23-year-old holds a massive 18-2 win-loss record with a 0.9 index.

After Sinner’s defeat against Alcaraz at the French Open finals, Djokovic’s former coach Boris Becker stepped forward to address the situation. According to the German ex-pro, the disappointment after the defeat is not something Sinner will forget before setting foot at Roland Garros again in 2026.
“[Jannik] Sinner needs a year to recover from this. Until he’s back on this court, at this tournament. Even if he plays well until then, this defeat will still be affecting him for another year,” he said, in a recent episode of the ‘Becker Petkovic’ podcast.
The recent showdown marked Sinner’s 12th meeting against the Spanish rival. After the win, Alcaraz holds a massive 8-4 lead in the head-to-head score against Sinner.
