The Madrid Open concluded with a one-sided men’s singles final on Sunday as Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev battled it out for the ATP Masters 1000 title. Sinner cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the final to continue his dominance on the ATP Tour and maintain his unbeaten run on clay.

Jannik Sinner’s and Alexander Zverev’s Prize Money at Madrid Open

The 2026 Madrid Open had it all, with the best players in the world competing for one of the most prestigious titles in the sport. The youngsters stole the show, as Rafael Jódar made his mark in front of his home crowd, while Arthur Fils and Alexander Blockx both made the semifinals.

Sinner and Zverev, the top two seeds, contested the 2026 Madrid Open final, with the Italian claiming the win. For his triumph, Sinner will receive a large chunk of the tournament’s €8,235,540 (US$9,684,500) prize money pool.

For his triumph at the Madrid Open, Sinner will receive €1,007,165 (US$1,184,269) in prize money. Zverev will earn €535,585 (US$629,815) after making it all the way to the final.

Meanwhile, Fils and Blockx will both receive €297,550 (US$349,900) as the beaten semifinalists in Madrid. For their runs to the quarterfinals, Jódar, Casper Ruud, Jiří Lehečka, and Flavio Cobolli will all receive €169,375 (US$199,149) in prize money. The players who reached the fourth round will receive €92,470 (US$108,732), and those eliminated in the third round will earn €54,110 (US$63,626) from the prize fund.

Sinner will also receive 1000 ranking points for winning the Madrid Open. As the beaten finalist, Zverev will get 650 ranking points when the ATP Rankings are next updated on Monday.

Sinner made history in Madrid, becoming the first player in ATP Tour history to win five straight Masters 1000 titles. The 24-year-old achieved this feat with another dominant run at the Madrid Open.

After surviving a scare in the second round against Benjamin Bonzi, Sinner found his groove and comfortably defeated Elmer Møller and Cameron Norrie to secure his berth in the quarterfinals. He then saw off the challenge of Jódar in the last eight before claiming another dominant win over Fils in the semifinals.

Sinner went up against Zverev in the title decider in Madrid and claimed yet another victory against his rival.

The 2026 ATP Tour continues in full swing next week with the next Masters event on the horizon. The 2026 Italian Open will be the next event on the clay-court swing and will take place in Rome from May 5-17. This tournament will mark the next pit-stop in the lead-up to the 2026 French Open.
