Iga Świątek and Venus Williams headline the rescheduled Miami Open Day 3 schedule after rain chaos disrupted the tournament.

A fascinating day of tennis awaits fans at the Miami Open on March 19. The tournament was forced to tweak the schedule after Wednesday’s play was rained out. The likes of Iga Świątek, João Fonseca, Venus Williams, and Alexandra Eala are expected to be in action on Thursday, subject to favorable weather conditions.

Thursday’s Miami Open Schedule, Featuring João Fonseca, Venus Williams, and Iga Świątek

Many big names will be competing at Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday, with Eala set to get the day’s action underway on the Stadium court as she takes on Laura Siegemund.

Fonseca will then face Fábián Marozsán in the first round of men’s singles. The Brazilian is set to receive plenty of support from the Miami crowd, and it will be interesting to see how he fares at the ATP 1000 event.

Świątek will be third up on the Stadium court. She faces compatriot Magda Linette in the second round of the women’s singles on Thursday. The night session will be headlined by Mirra Andreeva, who begins her Miami Open campaign against McCartney Kessler of the United States.

Venus Williams will also be in action on Day 3, with her rescheduled match against Francesca Jones taking place on the Grandstand court. Jennifer Brady and Sloane Stephens will face off in an all-American clash during the night session.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will be another player to watch on Thursday. He begins his Miami Open campaign against qualifier Arthur Fery. Meanwhile, Botic van de Zandschulp faces Denis Shapovalov on Court 3 in what could be a sleeper pick for the match of the day.
