Danielle Collins’ Pre-Match Photo With Iga Świątek Sparks Scrutiny From Fans

In her quest for a sixth Grand Slam trophy, Świątek secured a position in the fourth round at Wimbledon 2025 after her match on Saturday. Seeded eighth at the Major, she got past Danielle Collins in straight sets on Centre Court, winning 6-2, 6-3.

After the match, a picture of both players surfaced on social media in which Świątek appeared neutral while Collins had a big smile on her face. Recalling their feud from Paris Olympics, many fans gave their thoughts on the picture.

One fan, referring to the American’s older comments, wrote: “Didn’t she say Iga was the one being fake? After being the one starting this one-sided “feud”?”

Echoing similar thoughts, another fan noted the facial expressions and wrote: “This is great picture, we can see everything here. One lady is doing fake smile and the other lady is truly honest person.”

Another fan rather found the picture hilarious, saying:

“I just can’t stop laughing.”

Another fan shared their presumption of Collins’ fiery on-court demeanour.

Another fan jokingly remarked, “Iga if you need help raise your hand.”

With the latest win, Świątek extended her head-to-head record against Danielle Collins to 8-2.

Świątek Explains How She Dominated Collins With One Key Strategy

Świątek’s dominant victory over Danielle Collins stunned fans as it came after a prolonged downtime for the Polish star. After securing a position in the top 16, the five-time Grand Slam champion mentioned how she suppressed her rival’s chances to secure winners, leading to a comfortable win.

“I was just in the zone. I knew what I wanted to play and I knew I needed to be brave and just let my hand do the job. Play fast and grab it from the beginning. You can’t let Danielle play her winners. I’m really happy with the performance because there were no ups and downs,” she said.

After the win, Świątek will now face Clara Tauson in the fourth round in what will mark their second encounter after almost three years.
