Emma Navarro and Ben Shelton have teamed up to compete in the Eisenhower Cup on two occasions and will join forces again for the $200,000 Tie Break Tens event later on Tuesday. The Eisenhower Cup is played in Indian Wells in the lead-up to the BNP Paribas Open.
Navarro and Shelton have been one of the most successful pairings in the history of the Eisenhower Cup, and will hope to regain their crown this year.
Emma Navarro and Ben Shelton’s Past Eisenhower Cup Results
Navarro and Shelton made their Eisenhower Cup debut in 2024 and pulled off a stunning upset to defeat Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas 10-8 in the final.
The American duo started the event by defeating Maria Sakkari and Andrey Rublev 11-9 in a closely contested quarterfinal. They then faced Caroline Wozniacki and Holger Rune in the semifinals and won 10-5 to advance to the final.
They teamed up again at Indian Wells in 2025 and defeated Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter in the first round. But they suffered a 10-6 defeat in the semifinals to eventual champions Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz.
Navarro and Shelton did not compete together at the 2025 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship, with the former withdrawing and the latter teaming up with Taylor Townsend.
They are teaming up again for the Eisenhower Cup and will have their sights set on winning it again on Tuesday. But they will face some tough competition from the other teams competing in the event.
As has been the case for the last three years, the 2026 Eisenhower Cup will feature 8 teams. The Tie Break Tens format will award $200,000 to the winning team, with play beginning at 7 p.m. local time (10 p.m. EST).
Joining Shelton and Navarro at the 2026 Eisenhower Cup will be reigning champions Fritz and Rybakina. Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek and Casper Ruud will also team up once again after making the final at the 2025 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship.
In other all-American pairings, Jessica Pegula will partner with Tommy Paul, while Amanda Anisimova will team up with Learner Tien. The Canadian duo of Leylah Fernandez and Felix Auger-Aliassime will also look to make a splash at the Einsenhower Cup.
Jasmine Paolini has established herself as a doubles specialist in recent years. The Italian will team up with compatriot Matteo Berrettini. Rounding out the eight teams at the event are Mirra Andreeva and Alexander Bublik.
