Frances Tiafoe will honor his parents and his Sierra Leone heritage at the 2026 Australian Open by wearing a custom Lululemon tennis kit featuring the colors of Sierra Leone. He recently flaunted his outfit ahead of the Melbourne Major, which drew a reaction from his girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield.
Tiafoe and Broomfield have been together for nearly 11 years, having started to date in 2015. Broomfield is a social media fashion influencer and a former professional tennis player who played for Clemson University in South Carolina and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She made her WTA Tour debut at the 2014 Coupe Banque Nationale.

Recently, Tiafoe took to social media to share a video of his custom Lululemon tennis kit for the 2026 Australian Open. The kit features a white base with designs in blue and green, reflecting the colors of the Sierra Leone flag. Tiafoe’s parents, Alphina Kamara and Frances Sr. Tiafoe, immigrated to the United States from Sierra Leone in 1996 to escape the civil war.

We pulled colors from the Sierra Leone flag for this custom print, so what you wear hits the same way you do. AO, let’s go. Your lulu fam,’” Tiafoe said.
After showcasing his custom Lululemon kit for the Melbourne Major, Tiafoe described the outfit as “absolute fire.” He expressed that it means the world to him to wear Sierra Leone’s colors, as both of his parents were born and raised there, and that it will also be very meaningful to them.
“Absolute fire man. Shoutout to Lululemon for doing the Sierra Leone colors with the matching shorts. It’s gonna be crazy fire. Let’s get it. What’s up with the jacket, though? This thing is fire! Both my parents were born and raised in Sierra Leone.
“It means the world to me to be able to rock the Sierra Leone colorway. It’s going to mean a lot to me, obviously, my parents as well. Shoutout to Lululemon. We’re the best in the business,” he added.

Tiafoe’s custom Lululemon tennis kit for the 2026 Australian Open garnered a reaction from his girlfriend, Broomfield, who expressed her love for the outfit.

Tiafoe began his 2026 tennis season at the Brisbane International, where he defeated wild card Aleksandar Vukic in the first round before losing to the eventual champion, top seed Daniil Medvedev, in the second round.

Tiafoe will begin his campaign at the 2026 Australian Open by taking on qualifier Jason Kubler in the first round of the tournament.
Tiafoe and Kubler have faced each other three times on the ATP Tour, with the former World No. 10 winning all three encounters. Their most recent match was in the quarterfinals of the 2023 U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships, where Tiafoe won 6-4, 6-4. He went on to defeat Tomás Martín Etcheverry in the final to claim the title.
The winner of the first-round match between Tiafoe and Kubler at the 2026 Australian Open will advance to face either Francisco Comesaña or wild card Patrick Kypson in the second round of the tournament.
