As Félix Auger-Aliassime gears up for his highly anticipated opening match at the Canadian Open in Montreal today, his wife, Nina Aliassime, has given fans a rare look into their life. Ahead of his tournament debut, Nina took to Instagram to share a series of unseen photographs of the couple, capturing their off-court moments.

Instead of sharing polished, social media-style photos, Nina shared a collection of candid disposable camera snapshots this time, captioning the post, “The annual disposable camera development 🎞️.” The photos featured Félix Auger-Aliassime cycling along a countryside path, Nina playing with their dog, and several heartwarming moments of the couple posing together.

Nina is a professional horseback rider who competes for Morocco. The two first met when Félix saw her in the crowd at a tennis tournament in Miami and started dating back in March 2019.
Their relationship grew over the years, and they got married at a beautiful wedding in Morocco in September 2025. Through all the tough matches and constant travel, Nina has always been by his side. As a fun fact, Nina is also the cousin of another pro tennis player, Ajla Tomljanovic.
Now, Félix is getting ready to play his first match at the Canadian Open. For him, playing in Montreal is much more than just another tournament. This event switches between Toronto and Montreal every year, and playing in Montreal this year truly feels like coming home.
During a presser three days ago, Félix shared how happy he is to be back in the city where he grew up. “I feel good already. Very happy to be back home in Montreal. It’s always a great pleasure to play in Canada, and even more so in Montreal, of course, since, as you know very well, I grew up here. I spent my teenage years and did my tennis training right here at the stadium, so I’m very happy to be back,” said the second seed.

The soon-to-be 26-year-old has an opportunity to continue the National Bank Open’s run of first-time men’s champions. However, his best result in eight previous appearances at his home tournament remains a quarterfinal finish in 2022.
In the Round of 64 match today, Auger-Aliassime will face France’s Titouan Droguet after 7 p.m. ET.
NOTE: Felix Auger-Aliassime has since withdrawn from the tournament after feeling “a sudden back pain” during his pre-tournament practice session.
