Félix Auger-Aliassime vs. Alexander Bublik Preview: Head-to-Head and Prediction for Paris Masters 2025

Félix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Bublik will face off in the Paris Masters semifinals with a potential ATP Finals spot at stake.

Ninth-seeded Félix Auger-Aliassime will face 13th-seeded Alexander Bublik for a spot in the 2025 Paris Masters final on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Having been a top-30 lurker for more than half of the 2025 season, Auger-Aliassime has made a charge for a potential ATP Finals spot over the last two months with a title victory in Brussels and a semifinal run at the US Open.

The 25-year-old was able to make his return to the men’s top 10 by virtue of his recent results and has since carried his impressive form into this week’s Paris Masters.

After weathering three back-to-back three-setters against Daniel Altmaier, Alexandre Müller, and Francisco Comesana, he beat Shanghai Masters champion Valentin Vacherot 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals on Friday to advance to his first semifinals at the indoor hardcourt tournament since 2022.

Like Auger-Aliassime, Bublik is also eager to end his year on a strong note and is a contender to join the elite eight in Turin.

The World No. 16, who has won four titles this year (Halle, Gstaad, Kitzbühel, Hangzhou), saved his best tennis for Paris-Bercy, where he has now recorded his first ATP Masters 1000-level quarterfinal appearance since 2021.

The 28-year-old didn’t drop a set in his wins over Taylor Fritz, Corentin Moutet, and Alexei Popyrin before coming from a set down to beat sixth-seeded Alex de Minaur 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5 in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Auger-Aliassime vs. Bublik Head-to-Head

Auger-Aliassime leads Bublik by a slight margin of 3-2 in their head-to-head meetings on the ATP Tour. The Canadian has outclassed the Kazakh in three of their four hardcourt clashes to date, which includes their most recent encounter in the second round of this year’s Dubai Tennis Championships that the former won 7-6(7), 6-7(4), 6-3.

Auger-Aliassime vs. Bublik Prediction

Having won over 85% (155/182) of his first-serve points, Auger-Aliassime has been by far the most dominant player in service games at this year’s Paris Masters. During his last-eight win, the World No. 10 was impressive on return as well, converting four of the eight break points he generated on Vacherot’s serve.

Bublik has been nearly just as good on serve, nabbing 79.5% (156/196) of his first-serve points. The 13th seed’s performance against de Minaur, in particular, was stuff of legends, as he won 35 of his 38 first-serve points after dropping the first set. He has also looked comfortable from the baseline and at approaching the net, making good use of his easy firepower and delicate touch.

For what it’s worth, though, Bublik can’t match Auger-Aliassime when it comes to percentage play during the rallies despite having a more unpredictable game. The Canadian’s consistent shotmaking on his forehand and backhand both have inspired awe lately. More importantly, he has shown immense composure during important points this week, which is a quality that will come in handy for him on Saturday.

Prediction: Félix Auger-Aliassime to win in three sets.
