Emma Raducanu vs Zheng Qinwen Preview
Emma Raducanu will face a tough challenge as she takes on top seed Zheng Qinwen in the quarterfinals of the Queen’s Club Championships. Whoever comes out on top, will take on either third seed Emma Navarro or eighth seed Amanda Anisimova in the semifinals of the WTA 500 event.
Raducanu entered the tournament as a wildcard after a second-round exit at the French Open. The Brit started her run with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win over Cristina Bucsa to set up a second-round clash with Rebecca Šramková. She cruised to a 5-0 lead in the opening set before the Spaniard staged a fightback. However, Raducanu managed to win the first set before dominating the second to register a 6-4, 6-1 victory.
Zheng Qinwen has won 18 out of 27 matches so far this season, reaching the semifinals of the Italian Open while making it to the quarterfinals of two WTA 1000 events and most recently, the French Open.
The Chinese received a bye to the second round of the Queen’s Club Championships due to her seeding and started her campaign against McCartney Kessler. Zheng won the opening set 6-3 before the American bounced back to take the second after breaking in the final game.
Kessler broke first in the third set but Zheng bounced back to win it 7-5 and book her place in the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament.

Emma Raducanu vs Zheng Qinwen Head-to-Head
Raducanu and Zheng have not had any prior encounters on the WTA Tour, so their head-to-head currently stands at 0-0.
Emma Raducanu vs Zheng Qinwen Prediction
While Zheng has had a much better season compared to Raducanu, the Brit is a formidable opponent on grass. While crowd support can be a factor, Zheng is more than capable of neutralising it.
Raducanu has won 48 out of 68 points on her first serve so far during the Queen’s Club Championships. The Brit is a good returner, and has won 52 out of 94 points during the WTA 500 event.
Zheng Qinwen has an effective serve, that fetched her 10 aces during her win over McCartney Kessler. However, it will be put to test by Raducanu’s returning skills. Both players have an aggressive style and while Raducanu was dominant in her first two matches, there is a good chance of the Chinese coming out on top due to her mentality.
Prediction: Zheng to win in three sets.
