The 2025 China Open is already buzzing with excitement as Emma Raducanu, Amanda Anisimova, Naomi Osaka and several other top names in women’s tennis touched down in Beijing ahead of the prestigious WTA 1000 event. With the tournament just days away, fans were treated to early glimpses of the sport’s biggest stars arriving at the National Tennis Center or exploring the Chinese capital before the competition gets underway.
How Do Emma Raducanu, Amanda Anisimova and Naomi Osaka Fit Into the Star-Studded 2025 China Open Field?
Set to run from September 24 to Oct. 5, the China Open boasts one of the most competitive fields of the season. The women’s draw offers nearly $9 million in prize money, including a $1.12 million paycheck and 1,000 ranking points for the singles champion.
Defending champion Coco Gauff enters as the No. 2 seed, while Iga Świątek headlines the field as the top seed in the absence of world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, who withdrew with an injury. The player roster also features heavy hitters like Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, Zheng Qinwen, Jasmine Paolini, Madison Keys and teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva.
The build-up to the event has already given fans a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite players preparing for action. Raducanu and Anisimova were spotted in a video from the National Tennis Center’s gym, pushing through training sessions as they sharpened their fitness before stepping on court.

Raducanu, who is coming off her second-round loss to Barbora Krejčíková at the Korea Open, is entering Beijing for the first time and is seeded 32nd. Anisimova and Osaka arrive fresh from their US Open runs, where the American defeated the Japanese tennis star to reach the final before falling to defending champion Sabalenka, who won her fourth Grand Slam title.
