Elina Svitolina Engages in a Tennis Session With Her Daughter

The World No. 9, Svitolina, has impressively commenced her 2026 season with the ASB Classic, where she defeated Varvara Gracheva, Katie Boulter, Sonay Kartal, and American rising star Iva Jovic in the semifinal round. She then won the nineteenth title of her career after surpassing Wang Xinyu, the former World No. 30, with a concluding scoreline of 6-3, 7-6 (8).

She also competed in the doubles with legend Venus Williams, but they were defeated in the round of 16 by Jovic and Alexandra Eala. At the Australian Open, she reached the semifinal round, defeating players including Mirra Andreeva, Coco Gauff, and others. Her title hopes were crushed as World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka defeated her in straight sets in the semifinal round.

She exited the Qatar Open with a round-of-16 loss to Anna Kalinskaya, then reached the final at the Dubai Tennis Championships, losing the title to American star Jessica Pegula. Through her Instagram stories, the Odesa, Ukraine, native recently shared adorable glimpses of her playing with her daughter on the court, adding the caption, “My type of Saturday 🥰,” and then “❤️” as she joyfully shared a high-five with her.

Svitolina’s next glimpse featured her suitcases, signalling that she’s set to travel, and she mentioned, “And off again…✈️🌎.” She will travel to the United States to compete in the tournament, which will be held at Indian Wells, California, from March 4 to 15, 2026.

Svitolina had tied the knot with Monfils in July 2021 and welcomed their daughter on October 15, 2022, with the father lovingly announcing through his Instagram post, “I had the most amazing night of my life, which ended with the most beautiful gift around 6:00Am. Elina was strong and brave💪🏾🙏🏾I can’t thx enough, my wife and God, for this special moment 🙏🏾Welcome to the world, my little princess SKAÏ ❤️.”
