Elina Svitolina and Gaël Monfils’ Baby Daughter Accompanies Her on a Multigenerational Beach Trip After Paris Crashout

Elina Svitolina has travelled to Turkey for a vacation after an impressive European clay-court swing, accompanied by her baby daughter, Skai.

Elina Svitolina enjoyed a stellar run throughout the European clay-court swing that culminated in a quarterfinal finish at the French Open. At the second major of the year, the 13th seed was knocked out by three-time defending champion Iga Swiatek 1-6, 5-7 in a match that seemed much closer than the scoreline suggested.

Following the heartbreak at Roland-Garros, Svitolina revealed that she has hit vacation mode with members from multiple generations of her family.

Here Is What Elina Svitolina Is up to After Her Successful French Open Run:

After her French Open campaign came to an end, Elina Svitolina jetted off to the scenic beaches of Turkey for a vacation. Sharing a series of pictures, she also disclosed that she was joined by her mother, Olena, and her daughter, Skai, born in October 2022.

The tennis star shared pictures from the D Maris Bay Hotel in Turkey, located on the Datça Peninsula, where the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas meet. During the trip, she also took the opportunity to promote “SOLO for diamonds,” a jewelry brand she is the brand ambassador of.

“Life is a constant movement,” she captioned the post. “Stillness has its place to breathe deeply and keep moving. What matters most is being yourself and being with those who resonate with you.”

In recent years, Elina Svitolina has been seen balancing her tennis alongside her motherhood duties. In 2022, she took a break from professional tennis to give birth to her first child. Svitolina and her husband, fellow tennis pro Gael Monfils, welcomed baby Skai on October 15. She often posts updates about her life as a new mother on social media.

Speaking to Tennis Channel on the sidelines of the Madrid Open last month, Svitolina revealed that her one-year-old has already developed a love for playing the game.

“She has a small racket, but she prefers the big one,” Svitolina told Prakash Amritraj. “She is on the court, trying to hit some balls. It is fun to watch her grow. She is so much into sport – she loves football; just tries to play a lot of different games.”

Svitolina enjoyed an impressive clay-court swing, toppling last year’s French Open runner-up Jasmine Paolini in the fourth round.

Svitolina’s Performance During the European Clay Court Swing

Svitolina exhibited a tremendous run of form throughout the European clay-court swing, managing to make deep runs in several major tournaments.

After clinching the Open De Rouen in France, which was her seventh title on clay, she recorded impressive showings in Madrid and Rome, managing to reach the semifinal and quarterfinal, respectively. While her splendid run in Madrid was halted by World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, the Ukrainian lost to Peyton Stearns in a third-set tiebreak in Rome.
