Elina Svitolina Spends Special Moments With Daughter Skai on the Ice After Her and Husband Gaël Monfils’ Trip to India

Elina Svitolina was seen spending quality time with daughter Skaï on ice, after returning home with husband, Gaël Monfils, from their trip to India.

In addition to being a star tennis player, Elina Svitolina is a loving mother to her daughter, Skaï. Recently, she was spotted spending quality time with Skaï at an ice skating rink, after returning home with her husband, Gaël Monfils, from their trip to India, where they participated in the 2025 World Tennis League.

Svitolina and Monfils began dating in 2018 and got engaged on April 3, 2021. They were married just three months later, in July 2021. On Oct. 15, 2022, the couple announced the birth of their first child, a daughter named Skaï.

Elina Svitolina Spends Time With Daughter Skai After Competing at World Tennis League 2025

Earlier this month, Svitolina and Monfils traveled to India for the 2025 World Tennis League. This mixed-gender team tennis exhibition was held in India for the first time from Dec. 17 to Dec. 20, 2025, at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium in Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. The event featured four teams: Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, and Kites.

Svitolina was part of Team Hawks, alongside Denis Shapovalov, Yuki Bhambri, and Maaya Rajeshwaran. Monfils was a member of Team Eagles, which also included Paula Badosa, Sumit Nagal, and Shrivalli Bhamidipaty. Team Eagles finished as the runner-up to Team Kites.

After concluding her participation in India, Svitolina returned to her daughter, Skaï, and enjoyed some quality time together. She recently shared a couple of pictures on social media showcasing their ice skating adventure, where the three-year-old was skating, assisted by an ice skate walker.

This year, Svitolina wrapped up the 2025 tennis season with one title, winning the Open de Rouen. She reached the semifinals at the Madrid Open and advanced to the quarterfinals at the Australian Open, BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, French Open, and the Canada Open.

Svitolina To Begin 202 Season at ASB Classic

Looking ahead, Svitolina is set to commence her 2026 tennis season at the ASB Classic, which will take place from Jan. 5 to Jan. 11, 2026. The matches of the tournament will be held on the outdoor hard courts at Manuka Doctor Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.

In addition to the former world No. 3, players like Emma Navarro, Katie Boulter, Donna Vekić, Iva Jovic, Alexandra Eala, Janice Tjen, Magda Linette, Wang Xinyu, and Peyton Stearns, among others, are also expected to compete in the WTA 250 hard-court tournament in New Zealand.

Svitolina last participated in the ASB Classic in 2024. She was seeded second at the tournament and defeated the likes of Caroline Wozniacki, Emma Raducanu, Marie Bouzková, and Wang Xiyu, reaching the final. In the championship match, she lost to the defending champion, Coco Gauff, and finished as the runner-up.

Meanwhile, Svitolina’s husband, Monfils, will also begin his 2026 season at the ASB Classic. He will enter the tournament as the defending champion, having won the title in 2025 by defeating Zizou Bergs in the final.
