The 2026 Miami Open is set to take place from March 17 to March 29, 2026, with matches held on outdoor hard courts at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Rybakina’s best result at the tournament was finishing as the runner-up twice: in 2023 and 2024, losing to Petra Kvitová and Danielle Collins in the finals, respectively.
Rybakina is seeded third at the 2026 Miami Open and will begin her campaign in the second round after receiving a bye in the first round. In her opening match, she is scheduled to face the winner of the first-round match between Janice Tjen and Yulia Putintseva.
Rybakina and Putintseva have met three times on the WTA Tour, with the latter winning two of those matches. Their most recent match was in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Madrid Open, which Rybakina won 4-6, 7-6(4), 7-5.
On the other hand, Rybakina and Tjen have not yet faced each other on the WTA Tour, meaning their potential second-round match in Florida will be the first match-up between the two players.
The winner of the second-round match between Rybakina and either Tjen or Putintseva at the Miami Open will advance to face the 27th seed, Marta Kostyuk, Solana Sierra, or lucky loser Kamilla Rakhimova in the third round of the tournament.
