Jannik Sinner’s current coach, Darren Cahill, has sent a message to the Italian’s new mixed doubles partner, Emma Navarro. As the World No.1 continues his campaign at the Terra Wortmann Open, his Australian mentor commented that team Sinner had already started preparing for the upcoming challenge at the US Open. Meanwhile, the American WTA star is currently competing at the German Open.
Jannik Sinner’s Coach Comments on Emma Navarro’s Instagram Post
On Tuesday, the US Open announced the team entries for this year’s mixed doubles championship. Fans were excited to see some of the biggest names in the singles world participating in the competition that will take on a new avatar in 2025. Carlos Alcaraz is all set to partner with British star Emma Raducanu. Jannik Sinner, meanwhile, will pair up with American pro and current World No.9 Emma Navarro, a partnership that the tennis community deemed unexpected.
Just hours after the release of this exciting line-up, Sinner’s coach Darren Cahill left a comment on one of Navarro’s posts on Instagram, which shared recent glimpses from her time on the court and off it. “A bit of b🎾ll and a bit of life,” she captioned the post.

While reacting to the post, Cahill said, “We’ve started grinding mixed doubles drills, Emma. Let’s go 😉 Forza @usopen @janniksin.”

Navarro entered the grass court event after facing a quarterfinal defeat against compatriot Amanda Anisimova at the Queen’s Club Championships. The 24-year-old will now face Paula Badosa after taking down Marta Kostyuk in the opening round.

The US Open’s announcement featured multiple surprises for the fans who have always wished to see their favourite singles stars play alongside each other. Besides Sinner and Navarro, the list includes the duo of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa, who also happen to be real-life partners and have been dating for over two years now.
American star Frances Tiafoe will be seen playing alongside reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys, while Ben Shelton is set to partner with two-time women’s doubles Grand Slam champion Taylor Townsend. American pro Tommy Paul, who recently reached a career-high singles ranking of world No.8, will share the court with Jessica Pegula.
