American star Danielle Collins has recently shared her thoughts on one of the individuals selected as a promising candidate by former ATP stars from among many applicants for her future partner. The WTA star is currently on the lookout for her life partner after separating from her boyfriend, Bryan Kipp, and has also revealed that she is exclusively dating someone who isn’t familiar with tennis and is in finance.
Danielle Collins Opens Up Surrounding Personal Life
The winner of four WTA singles titles and one doubles title had revealed earlier this month on “The Gay Tennis Podcast” that she had split from her boyfriend, Bryan Kipp, who is senior vice president of technology and licensing at Revvity, a biotechnology firm, and is now looking for her future partner.
However, to assist her with her search for the love of her life, the American ATP stars, John Isner, Sam Querrey, Steve Johnson, and Jack Sock, have been pursuing applicants for Collins, and one of the top ones they selected was 33-year-old Andy, who is currently working in renewables and is an outdoor enthusiast, as per his bio video, which the hosts and Collins saw during the podcast episode.
After watching the video, Querry shared his views, impressed by his video’s quality and editing skills, and added, “First off, the video quality and editing that he put through, 10 out of 10.”
To which, the St. Petersburg, Florida, native added, regarding the candidate, that she prefers dating someone who doesn’t know about tennis, and that Andy is delightful, and, counting his plus points, she added,
“It could definitely help me with my social media, that’s for sure. I would have unreal content. Andy’s interesting. I don’t know how I feel about going out with a fan. I guess all the people that applied are fans, right? I almost prefer somebody that doesn’t know anything about tennis, but I mean, yeah, he seems like a nice guy. I’d have some like questions.”
After expressing her thoughts on Andy, Collins revealed that she is already dating someone from the finance industry and shares her preference for not knowing much about tennis.
She also highlighted that their schedules are compatible and that they have gone on many dates, sharing, “I have to say I’ve been going out with somebody. We’ve probably gone out like eight or nine times now and we’re kind of exclusively dating. This all kind of happened pretty quickly. So, I mean, we’re still getting good, this guy’s pretty cool.”
She continued, “He’s doesn’t know anything about tennis. He spends part of the year where I am and then the other part of the year where I also am. So that kind of works out logistically. And he is 6’5, blue eyes, is in finance. He just started his own investment firm.”
Considering her on-court actions, Collins concluded her season at the 2025 US Open, where she reached the semifinal round in the mixed doubles and suffered a first-round defeat in the singles category.
