United Cup 2026 Day 9 Schedule

The 2026 United Cup has featured some captivating contests, serving as an excellent precursor to the Australian Open. As we enter the business end of the tournament, fans will have the opportunity to see several world-class players in action at Sydney’s Ken Rosewall Arena on Saturday.

The United States managed to defeat Poland in the United Cup final last year, so Iga Świątek and her teammates will certainly have revenge on their minds. The reigning Wimbledon champion will take on rival Coco Gauff in the women’s singles. Świątek holds a comfortable 11-4 lead in their head-to-head but Gauff has managed to win each of their last three contests and will be determined to keep that run going.

Kicking things off in this tie will be Hubert Hurkacz and Taylor Fritz in the men’s singles. Fritz has not enjoyed the best of starts to his season, winning only one of his three matches so far at the United Cup. Hurkacz, meanwhile, was beaten by Alex de Minaur in a tight quarterfinal match. If needed, the deciding mixed doubles match will see Gauff team up with Christian Harrison to face Świątek and Hurkacz.

Belgium and Switzerland will meet in the other semifinal, aiming to reach the United Cup final for the first time. Switzerland have maintained a 100% record so far at the event, led by World No. 11 Bencic. Belgium were beaten in their opener but have responded well since, with wins over Canada and the Czech Republic.
