Coco Gauff Glows in Scarlet Top As She Continues Life Outside the Madrid Court Amid Cryptic Message

Coco Gauff recently booked her place in the fourth round of the Madrid Open.

Coco Gauff was dressed up in a striking scarlet top in a selfie while enjoying some downtime away from the courts of the 2025 Madrid Open. Alongside the selfie she posted, she shared a cryptic message.

Gauff is looking to better her fourth-round run at last year’s Madrid Open. In 2024, she entered the WTA 1000 event as the third seed and kicked off her campaign in the second round after a first-round bye. The American defeated Arantxa Rus 6-0, 6-0 and 31st seed Dayana Yastremska 6-4, 6-1 in the second and third rounds, respectively, before being eliminated by 18th seed and fellow American Madison Keys.

Coco Gauff To Face Belinda Bencic in Madrid Open 4R

Following her win over Ann Li in the third round of the 2025 Madrid Open, Coco Gauff will take on Belinda Bencic in the fourth round of the tournament.

Bencic kicked off her run at the WTA 1000 clay court event by defeating qualifier Zeynep Sonmez with a score of 6-0, 6-2 in the first round. She then continued her winning streak by defeating 20th seed Clara Tauson 6-5, 6-5 and 16th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(2) in the second and third rounds, respectively, securing her spot in the fourth round where she will face Gauff.

Gauff and Bencic have faced each other four times on the WTA Tour, with both players winning two matches each. Their most recent encounter was in the fourth round of the 2025 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, where the Swiss emerged victorious with a score of 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The winner of the fourth-round clash between Gauff and Bencic will advance to face either seventh seed Mirra Andreeva or qualifier Yuliia Starodubtseva in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
