Coco Gauff gave fans a rare look into her love life this week, officially introducing boyfriend Jalen Sera to the world with a heartfelt set of photos shared on social media. The hard launch came as the couple celebrated their two-year anniversary, and Sera showed his love and support in response.

Coco Gauff and Boyfriend Jalen Sera Have Been Going Strong Since 2023

Gauff, fresh off a triumphant French Open run where she captured her second career Grand Slam title, shared a laid-back photo dump from her home city of Atlanta. The post highlighted her cool-down moments following the high-intensity clay-court season.

The 21-year-old tennis star had previously kept her relationship relatively under wraps. That changed when Gauff’s relationship with Sera first came into the public eye during a promotional video for BOSE, where the World No. 2 listened to an emotional voice message from her boyfriend.

“Just wanted to say you’re the absolute coolest person ever. I’m so proud of you. You’re doing great and I love you,” Sera said in the recording.

A visibly moved Gauff smiled and revealed, “That’s my boyfriend, and today’s actually our two-year anniversary.”

The post included pictures of her and Sera enjoying a casual outing with friends, a snap after an escape room challenge, and a cozy mirror selfie of the couple. Gauff captioned the pictures: “atl.”

Gauff Reveals Why the French Open Trophy Didn’t Go Home With Her

Gauff recently shared a lesser-known detail about the French Open trophy awarded to the women’s singles champion.

In a social media video, Gauff explained that the trophy lifted during the on-court celebration, the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen, is actually a replica of a historic silver cup gifted to Suzanne Lenglen by the city of Nice. While winners pose with the larger version, they take home a smaller “mini replica.”

To show the size difference, Gauff held her version next to a Perrier bottle, noting it’s “very pretty,” but added, “it’s the memories that matter the most.”

Gauff is scheduled to begin her 2025 grass-court campaign at the Berlin Tennis Open, which will run from June 16 to June 22.

At the 2024 edition, Gauff reached the semifinals before falling to eventual champion Jessica Pegula. Entering this year’s tournament as the No. 2 seed, Gauff has a first-round bye and will open her run in the second round against either Daria Kasatkina or Wang Xinyu.
