Gauff Reveals the Actual Size of the French Open Trophy
Amid cherishing the celebratory vibes after winning the French Open title over Sabalenka, Gauff shared a video on TikTok. In the video, the WTA star unveiled how winners are not allowed to walk out with the same piece of the trophy. According to her, it should be illegal to go out of the arena after the event.
“Going out after winning a sporting event should be illegal. You’re emotional, dehydrated, starving, and then they put champagne in my hand. Of course I’m going out bad…. I had fun tho we upppppppp,” her TikTok video caption said.
She posted another update on social media, mentioning how she wasn’t allowed to take the main trophy home. According to her, the trophy “stays with the tournament.” She was instead given a replica of the Roland Garros trophy, which notably differed in size, appearing to be much smaller than the actual one.
