Chris Evert Addresses Her Feelings on Being a Grandmother

Earlier this year, during an interview with We Are Tennis, Chris Evert talked about becoming a grandmother. She expressed that she loves her sons, Alexander, Nicholas, and Colton Jack Mill, and she referred to them as the “highlight” of her life. She then shared that the birth of her grandson, Hayden, has changed her.

“Yeah, I love my boys. I love my boys. Yeah, that’s been the highlight of my life, yeah. I’m a grandmother now. My grandchild Hayden is, wow, again, I never everyone kept saying, ‘Wait until you have a grandchild.’ I thought nothing can top having a child,” Evert said.

Evert mentioned that having Hayden in her life has been “double fun” as she not only gets to experience the joys of being a grandmother but also witness her son embrace fatherhood. She said that it has been “wonderful” to have her grandson and mentioned that she will try to be a “fun grandmother” to him.

“But having a grandchild is double the fun, because you’re also seeing your son being a father. Your child has become a father. Then I have this little grandson. It’s wonderful. I will be, for sure, a fun grandmother. I will right around as long as I can,” she added.
