Chris Evert Hits Back at Accusations Over Her Comments on Emma Raducanu’s Personal Life

During Emma Raducanu’s fourth-round clash against Aryna Sabalenka at Wimbledon, Chris Evert was recorded making assumptions about the British player’s personal life. After Cameron Norrie’s victory over Mattia Ballucci at Wimbledon, a reporter directly asked him if he has strings attached with the WTA star. Reacting to the question, a fan wrote:

“They care more about her love life than her playing as clearly displayed by @ChrissieEvert @espn breaking away from her actual match against the number one seed where she went up 3-1, in the second set but no one could watch, bc they cared more about who was crushing on her.”

Evert was quick enough to drop a response on the accusation. She wrote:

“Oh please.”

The fan came up with another accusation to her response, quoting one of the statements from Evert.

“You owe her an apology. We missed the first 4 games because of you gushing over (Carlos) Alcaraz … and what did you say when you finally cut back? You said “I think he has a crush on someone on this court right now,” he wrote.

Raducanu recently joined hands with Carlos Alcaraz for the upcoming mixed doubles event at the US Open, and was even spotted at one lf the Spaniard’s matches at the Queen’s Club Championships.

Nick Kyrgios Thinks Carlos Alcaraz Is a Part of a Love Triangle Involving Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper

On being asked about a presumed love angle with Carlos Alcaraz, Raducanu was quick enough to deny it. Speaking in one of her press conferences at Wimbledon, she said:

“We’re just good friends. I’m really happy obviously to be playing with him. Yeah, we had a good time yesterday.”

However, Nick Kyrgios had a dissimilar opinion on the matter. According to him, Alcaraz, Raducanu and Jack Draper are possibly a part of a “love triangle”.

“I don’t know, I think it’s a love triangle. Draper, Alcaraz, Raducanu. They’re fighting over Raducanu I think, I’m not sure. I think (on) the outside (she looks happy), I don’t know who’s making her happy,” he said.

While Raducanu is out of Wimbledon, Alcaraz will take on Andrey Rublev in the fourth round.
